I just clicked on it and it is still stuck on a UPS truck on the other side of the country, where it has been, according to reports, now, for the last 34 hours and 59 minutes, not accounting for time zone differences, because I do not believe in time zone differences. They are intolerant.
Why on earth do they have shipping centers on the wrong side of the country, anyhow? I suspect some delivery guy is sitting there downloading his own personal favorites & trying out my earbuds.
But I thought you might also like to know about the gifts I received from the Bananalets.
Miss Language gave me a leather bound copy of a favorite of mine. It was one of those gifts she could not lose with: on the off chance that I got another copy from someone else in the toe of my stocking or whatever, she would be glad to keep the second herself. Good planning on a gift I will treasure for years.
Miss Dance, who always has an eye for beauty, gave me one of these glass hummingbirds. Unfortunately, not this one. No, the one she gave me was carefully put away where nothing bad would happen to it as it awaited the taking down of the Christmas decorations in the bright and sunny kitchen window where it would be found. Needless to say, I have no idea now where that safe place was. All of which results in my feeling like a doofus. Miss Dance does not want me calling myself a doofus but I suspect that is because then she would be a doofus’ daughter. Not good.
Miss Dog Lover and Mr Music pooled their resources to get me this snazzy set of soaps and bamboo soapdishes. I have not broken them out yet (though they are not lost) but Mr Music is anticipating their inaugural use as he is anxious to find out if bamboo soapdishes float. If they do, they would make great rafts for the Playmobil knights and pirates to sail the high seas of BathWaters. I suspect he is hoping to reclaim a portion of this gift. Good planning.

Hope you’re not too jealous. When I’m not wearing it it doubles as a crown for one of the Playmobil dudes.
