Bad Day October 9, 2007
Posted by carpebanana in : Ramblings , trackbackYesterday was a bad day. Not world class bad day like this:

but just pesky bad, like this:

At dinner Devastatingly Handsome was eating some granola with milk (yes, a real dinner was cancelled in favor of P & J sandwiches, banana splits, and granola for those who were still hungry) and mentioned, “Sesame seeds float,” and it struck me that this was the best news I’d heard all day. That kind of bad day.
And, how cool is this, just as I was about to post, this came in my inbox from GCFL:
Bad DayA little guy is sitting at the bar just staring at his drink
for half an hour when this big trouble-making biker steps
next to him, grabs his drink and gulps it down in one swig.
The poor little guy starts crying.
“Come on man. I was just giving you a hard time,” the biker
says. “I can’t stand to see a man crying.”
“This is the worst day of my life,” says the little guy
between sobs. “I can’t do anything right. I overslept and
was late to an important meeting, so my boss fired me. When
I went to the parking lot, I found my car was stolen and I
don’t have any insurance. I grabbed a cab home but, after
the cab left, I discovered my wallet was still in the cab.
At home I found my wife in bed with the gardener and my dog
bit me. So I came to this bar trying to work up the courage
to put an end to my life, and then you show up and drink the
poison!”

ok, I’ll let you in on a little secret. I sometimes have bad days too. But on those days I come visit your blog. I laugh for about five minutes and forget about my bad day. Build up a few endorphines (I hear laughter does that =) Then I go back to my bad day and it is a little less bad =)
I meant to comment on this yesterday but I was having a busy day! I think I had your blog open for over an hour and never had a chance to comment. Maybe you could illustrate “Very Busy Day” for me. No pressure. I want to frame that cat picture.
Peace and Laughter,
Cristina
