Posted by carpebanana in : Ramblings , 4commentsYesterday we had the honor of watching the US Army Drill Team in action. Wow! These men toss their bayonets around in perfect rhythm. It is Riverdance with weapons. It is baton and tap dance with testosterone. It is awesome.
Naturally I thought of Christina. And of William Tell when the commander is in the center and their blades nearly turn him into a colander, all at once.

I really, really wanted to know, if I tossed up a tomato, how many slices could they get out of it? But Miss Language just rolled her eyes when I thought I would ask ~ so I didn’t. Miss Language, by the way, a good singer of Psalms, took awhile to figure out why the military bands kept playing arrangements with Psalm 46A in them ~ then she noticed that the words to America the Beautiful also fit the meter. Gotta love it.
