Life Can Be So Dangerous September 5, 2007

Mr Music does all he can to keep us safe. Last night we watched an episode of Star Trek (Catspaw, for all you Trekkies) ~ he was armed with a Happy Meal toy doubling as a phaser. Aimed straight at the tv, just in case any Klingons happened by.
And in math he made an error. We were working on the floor and he asked for an eraser. I started to get up for one when he spotted a pencil, one that actually still has eraser on it, on the floor five or six feet away. Five or six feet that were much more treacherous than a trusting Mom realized. He whispered, “I gotta sneak up on it” then, with no apparent fear whatsoever, commando crawled half the distance and then pounced the last yard or so onto the pencil, which he dragged back without even a struggle.
You’ll be glad to know he conquered the whole math worksheet.
