She is probably our most “quotable” child.
One favorite is the time she was discussing Devastatingly Handsome’s bout with meningoencephalitis as a child. She asked, “Did you die from it?” Our jaws dropped and we stared at her till the light bulb went on and she said, “That was a dumb question, wasn’t it?”
Sunday night I was eating wasabi peas. She stood gazing at me till I asked if she wanted some. “No! I’m just waiting to see your head get hot.” That is a typical Miss Dance interaction.
But her most famous is the time she re-did the line from Elf where Buddy wants a Christmasgram. Devastatingly or I used the phrase “non sequitur.” “What’s a non sequitur?” she asked, with perfect Buddy the Elf intonation. “I want one!”
