Quiescently Frozen Ads August 9, 2007

That word quiescently has always been a favorite of mine. It brings to mind sugar, sweet flavors, and ice cream runs with my Dad to the Dairy Queen.

This summer our family has two favorite ads as we drive through town. Mine is from Rita’s Ice and says, “Blendini: Build Up Your Sweet Tooth.” Now that is an exercise program I could go on board with.

And Miss Dance loves one for the regional chain of ice cream parlors that says, “Make Every Day Sundae.” Well, at least that’s what they mean for it to say, but at present the ‘k’ has gone missing so it says, “Ma e Every Day Sundae.” We can’t pass it without getting into some sort of discussion of the effect that would have on Sabbath observance, and also, without all wanting ice cream.
