Classical Studies at the Pool June 12, 2007
Posted by carpebanana in : Bananalets , 1 comment so farMr Music doubles as Mr History around here. So, why was I surprised about his reaction to this T-shirt I use as a cover up at the pool? I mean, I’m the one who taught him the Veritas Press history card “Greek Philosophers” so that he knows first was Socrates, then Plato, and then Aristotle who went on to teach Alexander.

So, I have on this T-shirt and he says to me, “What happened to Aristotle?” (I guess the shirt would be a whole lot longer if it included all the links between Plato and Sinatra.)
Then, he wanted to know, “Who was Alexander’s student, anyhow?” Well, he knows A t Great did not live long, so it was a silly question. Still, he was not prepared for the silly answer I gave him: Bucephalus. I got to kiss Mr Music good-night while he was laughing.
Let me know if you see a shirt that quotes Bucephalus. I’d order one for Mr Music.
